The District team keeps a watchful eye on water quality by monitoring 20 lakes in Hamilton County each year. The 2022 Lake Monitoring Program is in full swing. Technician Jaime Parslow oversees the program. She canoed into Fawn Lake to complete the sampling procedure. She collected a water sample that will be analyzed by the Adirondack Watershed Institute for a variety of analytes including total phosphorus, nitrate, chlorophyll-a, and dissolved organic carbon.
