2023 Water Testing
Program

The Adirondacks are blessed with an abundance of clear, clean water. Therefore, most people take a safe water supply for granted. When clear, good tasing water comes out of the faucet, we assume it is safe to drink. Unfortunately, this assumption is not always correct. Most shoreline properties have a private water supply that needs to be tested regularly to confirm safe water.

Hamilton County residents and business owners can find out if their drinking and swimming water is safe. The Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District announces their Water Testing Program drop-off dates for the 2023 season. The District hosts the program annually to help protect public health.
