Gilmantown Road Bank Stabilization Project

The District is stabilizing a large bank on Gilmantown Road. The creation of an open channel due to a culvert wash out is further causing the bank to fail. Bank failure is threatening infrastructure safety and water quality. Permits have been approved. Estimated completion date is autumn of 2022, time and funding pending. This project may include cutting the bank back and creating an open channel. A series of check dams and step pools will be installed to control the velocity of water descending the bank.
